  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  3. Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  4. Pour half the brownie batter into a greased baking pan.
  5. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Spread cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer.
  7. Top with remaining brownie batter and swirl with a knife.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for smooth mixing.
