  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  3. Add mushrooms and thyme, cook until mushrooms are golden brown.
  4. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut slits along the sides.
  5. Place the mushroom mixture in the center and top with Gruyère cheese.
  6. Braid the pastry by folding the strips over the filling.
  7. Brush with beaten egg and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
  8. Let cool slightly before slicing.
