  3. In another bowl, beat the egg and then add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with batter.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
