Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked turkey bacon, crumbled
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the cheddar cheese and crumbled turkey bacon.
  5. In another bowl, mix together the milk and maple syrup.
  6. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  7. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  8. Roll the dough to 1 inch thick and cut into biscuits.
  9. Place biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
