- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup buttermilk

- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon espresso powder

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tray with liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine buttermilk, oil, eggs, espresso powder, and vanilla extract.
- Mix the wet ingredients into the dry until just combined.
- Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full and bake for 18-20 minutes.
- Let cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a shot of espresso to the batter.
- Top with chocolate shavings for decoration.
