  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a saucepan, simmer apple cider over medium heat until reduced to about 1/2 cup.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the sourdough starter, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the reduced apple cider, vegetable oil, and eggs.
  5. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
