- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter, then add the baking soda and salt.
- Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Finally, stir in the flour and chocolate chips until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For added moisture, make sure your bananas are very ripe.
- This bread freezes well; wrap tightly and place in the freezer.
