- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the sliced strawberries.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- While the cake is cooling, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Once the cake has cooled, spread the whipped cream over the top and garnish with additional strawberries.
