- 2 pounds carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Place the carrots in the slow cooker.
- In a mixing bowl, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour the mixture over the carrots and stir to coat.
- Sprinkle the chopped turkey bacon over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until the carrots are tender.
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of nutmeg.
