Slow Cooker Maple Carrot Delight with Turkey Bacon Bliss

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Place the carrots in the slow cooker.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Pour the mixture over the carrots and stir to coat.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped turkey bacon over the top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until the carrots are tender.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of nutmeg.
