- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla, and mix until fully incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread half the dough into the prepared baking pan, then drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the top.
- Top with the remaining dough and drizzle the rest of the salted caramel sauce on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For added flavor, sprinkle sea salt on top before baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week.
