- 6 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar and set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients, stirring until combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish, then add the peach mixture on top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- For added flavor, sprinkle cinnamon over the peaches before baking.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream for a delicious contrast.
