- 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground pepper to taste
- 4 pitas
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup lettuce, chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, oregano, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add chicken thighs and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
- Remove chicken from grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Warm pitas on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble gyros by layering sliced chicken, tzatziki, tomatoes, and lettuce in each pita.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
- Add sliced onions or feta cheese for additional toppings.
