Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm water and olive oil, stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
- Place it in a greased loaf pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- For a crusty loaf, place a pan of water in the oven while baking.
- Experiment with adding herbs or cheese for different flavors.
