Ingredients

- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup peas
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add diced chicken and cook until browned.
- Stir in carrots, peas, and garlic; cook for another 5 minutes.
- Pour chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Add orzo and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
- Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream and thyme.
- Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
