- 1 sleeve Saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the Saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together over medium heat until it reaches a boil. Stir continuously for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour the butter mixture evenly over the Saltine crackers.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, until bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top.
- Let the chocolate sit for a few minutes to melt, then spread it evenly with a spatula.
- In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle the mixture over the chocolate.
- Let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
- For an added crunch, sprinkle chopped nuts over the chocolate.
