- 2 pounds chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon five-spice powder
- 2 teaspoons red food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix all the marinade ingredients together.
- Add the chicken thighs and coat well. Marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from the marinade and place on the grill.
- Cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, basting with marinade.
- Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove from grill and let rest before slicing.
Notes
- Serve with steamed rice and vegetables for a complete meal.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey according to taste.
