- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the flour, pecans, salt, and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a saucepan, heat the sweetened condensed milk until warm.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the baked crust.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
- Allow to cool before slicing into bars.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon to the batter.
- These bars can be drizzled with additional caramel sauce before serving.
