- 1 pie crust store-bought or homemade
- 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup bourbon

- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (for streusel)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, heavy cream, milk, eggs, bourbon, vanilla, and spices. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns brown and nutty. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the chopped pecans, flour, and brown sugar. Drizzle the brown butter over the pecan mixture and stir until combined.
- Sprinkle the streusel topping evenly over the pumpkin filling.
- Bake the pie for 50-60 minutes, or until the filling is set and the streusel is golden.
- Let the pie cool before serving.
Notes
- Add extra bourbon for a more pronounced flavor.
- Serve with whipped cream for added richness.
