Ingredients

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons gelatin
- 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the milk and half the sugar until hot.
- Whisk the egg yolks and remaining sugar in a bowl, then slowly add the hot milk mixture to temper.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan, cook until thickened, then remove from heat.
- Dissolve the gelatin in cold water and mix into the cream. Stir in vanilla.
- Fold in whipped cream and pour into molds. Refrigerate to set.
- Serve topped with mixed berries.
Notes
- For best results, chill your mixing bowl and beaters before whipping the cream.
- Use fresh, seasonal berries for the best flavor.
