- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon together.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the blueberries gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For a sweeter glaze, mix powdered sugar with a bit of milk and drizzle over cooled donuts.
- These donuts are best served fresh but can be stored for a couple of days.
