Baked Blueberry Donuts: Irresistibly Sweet and Easy to Make

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon together.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Fold in the blueberries gently.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a sweeter glaze, mix powdered sugar with a bit of milk and drizzle over cooled donuts.
  • These donuts are best served fresh but can be stored for a couple of days.
