- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups peeled, diced apples
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup flour (for streusel topping)
- 2 tablespoons cold butter (for streusel topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with liners.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and melted butter. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples and optional walnuts until evenly distributed.
- For the streusel topping, mix the flour and cold butter with your fingers until crumbly.
- Fill the muffin cups with the batter and sprinkle the streusel on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
